English translation: trolley bay

French term or phrase: guidage
I may be wrong, but I think this term, in this context, is being used to refer to that railing or bar you sometimes see, especially in French supermarkets, sectioning off the area where the trollies or caddies are kept, so that they are all lined up when you arrive and you simply take the end one..... I can't imagine what else it could mean in this context and I have no idea what one would call it in English, either! Guide rail? I am not sure if they are referring to a 'trolley park' (based outside and in the carpark, for example, or one of those rails inside the store where the trollies are lined up. Could be either I suppose. I just wonder if anyone with experience of this sort of thing might know a blanket term that could describe either. Here is the text, taken from a document about a quality inspection of the presentation of a supermarket:

***Le guidage:***
Il n’y a pas de trace de doigts.

Les paniers / les caddies:
Ils sont propres et ne contiennent pas de papier.

Les dessous de caddies:
Il y a absence de « moutons » de poussières et de traces de roues.

etc. etc.
