Medical - Medical: Pharmaceuticals / Pharmaceutical manufacturing performance qualification
French term or phrase: Mises au point techniques
That tricky "mise au point again". There are several sections under the section title - I give a representative selection. The Kudoz entry "Technical adjustments" isn't suitable, nor are any of the translations on Linguee or GDT.
A point to consider is: does "Certaines mises au point doivent être faites" mean "a certain number of things need to be pointed out", thus referring, not to the operations themselves but to the stating of those operations in the following sub-headings, or does it mean the actual operations?
In the latter case, the translation of "mises au point techniques" has to cover all of the points described.
In the former case, I simply need to use a suitably literate version of "a certain number of things need to be pointed out".

 la quantité de solvant de récupération nécessaire ;
 les paramètres d’agitation (matériel employé, durée et vitesse) ;

SD = 3 = HD/h d’où HD = 3h
(etc.)

technical details (have to be sorted out/ need to be fine-tuned)
Explanation:
I think that something not too far removed from the standard meaning would be fine. I know what you mean : "mettre au point" does not necessarily mean physically adjusting technical elements, but sorting out by explanation etc.

Perhaps something along the lines of the suggestions I have made might work for either/or, physical adjustments or sorting out technical details.

agree  Daryo: final adjustments - once s.t. is "mis au point" there's no more need for further adjustments

Explanation:

Preparation or set up

Explanation:
because this is like prior to the actual task, having everything ready to carry out the task

there are a few preparation steps to be run before the study can start

hope this helps

is that they are talking about perfecting/developing the techniques/methods

so perhaps

Notes to answerer
Asker: Exactly, Nikki. Actually I'd provisionally written "Certain technical factors have to be considered". Maybe I'll stick to that, but (everybody) more ideas welcome.
