Il carattere di nuova riga a capo fa si che il formato di stampa ritorni sempre a 24 standard.
Nel caso in cui la linea di stampa sia preceduta dai caratteri 0x7BH e 0x7CH o0x5EH il numero di caratteri dopo i quali andare a capo è sempre rispettivamente12 o 42e quindi non è assolutamente necessario inserire un carattere di fine riga-a capo 0x7DH.

In ascii this is in fact two characters one for "nuova riga" (10 - newline or linefeed) and one for "a capo" (13 - carriage return) taken from old fashion typewriters where you have two actions of going down a line and returning to beginning of the line. Many computer languages combine the two into one character which does both actions in one, which is what happens when you hit return on your keyboard and two ascii characters are sent to the computer (10 and 13), while normally if you hit for example the letter "a" only one character is sent, which is 97.
