extraordinary measures / drastic measures Explanation: This seems to have echoes of the famous quotation "desperate times call for desperate measures". However, you probably wouldn't want to use "desperate" here. So, if you wanted to keep the repetition of the adjective, you could say "extraordinary measures to respond to the extraordinary challenges we face". Or you could go for "drastic measures" and follow that with something like "in these desperate times", which would be a reference to the quotation. |
