a bar where you can go for a few drinks Explanation: From the Oxford Spanish: potear [A1] verbo intransitivo A (España familiar) (beber): salieron a potear they went out for a few drinks The idea is that you can go there and just have a few drinks and some pintxos, rather than a proper sit-down meal |

a drop-in bar Explanation: I don´t think there's any direct equivalent in English so you'll have to get round it another way: "It's a drop-in bar where you can enjoy some 'pintxos' (snacks) at the counter or sit down to eat." Something along those lines. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 20 minutos (2012-10-11 16:44:16 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Basically, it's one of those bars that people take in on a pub crawl, going from one bar to another to have a drink and a pintxo in each one. Highly recommendable :) Places in and around Padstow to visit for lunch www.woodlands-padstow.co.uk/out-about/lunch The whole place was re-vamped in January 2008 and looks magnificent. There is a 'Drop-in' bar (that is not bookable) you should try, especially for lunch. A place in the Fifth stephenbuck.info/travelogues/France05/paris.htm 13 Mar 2005 – ... Jean and Isabelle to see the National Ballet of Spain at the Chatelet. ..... rose that during the day was ***a drop in bar*** and video gambling place. |

"tapas" bar Explanation: I offer "tapas" because it is a pretty well known term internationally. |
