Italian to English translations [PRO]
Construction / Civil Engineering / spingente
Italian term or phrase: coperture poco spingenti
The term refers to some type of roofs. From what I've understood, the roof exerts pressure (spinge) on the walls. Some roofs exerts more pressure (spingenti) and some less (poco spingenti) or they don't exert pressure (non spingenti).

roofs exerting lower thrust

Explanation:
We talk of "thrust" rather than pressure in this context. I suppose you could say "lower thrust roofs" like the Italian. It would probably be clear enough (although there are no Google hits).

Having checked your drawing link, thrust is even more appropriate, since there are no roof trusses and the lateral forces are restrained with the use of tie bars.
