From a lease for some commercial premises:

"Au cas où, pour une raison quelconque, le PRENEUR serait amené à quitter les locaux objets du présent bail, le montant correspondant au *décompte des provisions* versées par le PRENEUR jusqu'à son départ et les charges réellement payées par le BAILLEUR jusqu'à cette époque, se fera de plein droit par imputation sur le dépôt de garantie tel que prévu aux présentes."

I jsu don't understand what they are saying.

Presumably they have to make a prepayment for things like utilities and service charges,and these are then adjusted when the actual bills are received. If the tenant has underpaid, the difference is deducted from the deposit.
