I am having trouble making sense of this expression in the context of a legal letter regarding an error in the shipment of goods.


S’agissant de l’amplitude de l’indemnisation, la Cour d’appel de Versailles a estimé qu’il ne pouvait être opposé au transporteur les conditions générales de vente prévoyant des pénalités ou intérêts supérieurs au taux légal (CA Versailles du 29 avril 2003 RG 2001- 644).Face à une telle faute, il est très difficile de trouver des arguments permettant de d’atténuer ou d’exonérer la responsabilité de son auteur.
