The paper stack is in the feeder shaft with its leading edge facing the gate.
An air jet (from the lateral), [A]) loosens the paper stack. Under vacuum, suction stator and suction roller pull in the bottom sheet.
Once the TABA-I-2 controller has received the ID number from the main control system, the feeder pulls in the requested number of sheets. If the photo sensor [B18] does not respond within 1000 ms after sheet infeed, the feeder pulls in a second
sheet. If the photo sensor [B18] still does not respond, the sheets have either been pulled in incorrectly or they are jammed.
