Hello. This abbreviation appears in a biopsy report relating to a patient with an infiltrating ductal carcinoma of the left breast.
It is part of the macroscopic description of the sample examined. Here is how it appears in my text (accents not included as I don't have a Spanish keyboard and I'm pressed for time):
"Fragmento lobulado aplanado de aspecto adiposo que mide 6x3x2 cm. AL corte seriado se identifica 9 formaciones nodulares.
Cap. 1 y 2 cinco formaciones nodulares; Cap. 3 tres formaciones nodulares; Cap. 4 a 8 dos cortes de una formacion nodular en cada una..."
I'm not sure what "cap." refers to here, and I wouldn't like to guess.
