I know what this means but I just can´t put my finger on the right term (not keen on a literal translation). For the UK.

Obras de Chaikovski, Mussorsgky o Rachmaninov están consideradas como las más virtuosas y las más difíciles de la literatura pianística. Inalcanzables, intocables, pruebas sobrehumanas en ocasiones. Y además, hechas para personas con una gran masa física y unas grandes manos que sean capaces de abarcar diez notas entre el dedo meñique y el pulgar, lo que musicalmente se conoce por ‘una décima’, sin esfuerzo alguno. Pues bien, me va a servir un sólo nombre conocido por todos para desmitificar esta imagen: Alicia de Larrocha. Más bien menuda y de manos pequeñas, salía al escenario comiéndose el piano y haciéndolo brillar como pocos lo lograban. Existen más ejemplos de similares características, sin ir más lejos, Joaquín Achúcarro y sus Rachmaninov-Paganini. Y es que la técnica pianística nada tiene que ver con la condición física, sino con saber utilizar **armas propias** para encontrar un sonido propio.

Explanation:
I know technique is already mentioned but I believe this is whart is involved here. The pianist uses every means at thier disposal including arm weight/keyboard touch/pedal to achieve the proper tone but they must have not just the correct techniques but the stye as well
