Hi,

" si vous ne roulez pas en hiver, certaines assurances vous propose l’option de poser les plaques ce qui vous permet d’économiser sur votre prime."

this doc is about insurance for motorcycles, I do not know how to say "poser les plaques"

Thank you

suspend the contract (lay-up policy)
Explanation:
Hello

It seems to me that this is what is really meant. I don't like 'stop/cancel' the contract as that sounds too definitive

They also talk about a lay-up policy

"Inquire about a "lay-up" policy, which would suspend motorcycle insurance coverage during the Winter months when the bike is laying dormant."

agree  Nikki Scott-Despaigne: The details of how this is to be done, handing in the number plates, will be detailed elsewhere in the contract. "Lay-up" is the best solution in my opinion.
