I believe this is what is meant. Dicobat defines "accastillage" in relation to joinery as "fittings": door knobs, hinges etc. However, "fittings" would be misleading in relation to plumbing, where it would include first fix items.

"First-fix plumbing is essentially the pipework for space heating, water supply and waste water drainage. It could take place simultaneously with the electrical installation were it not for the fact that plumbers need space to work in and it is best to give them that space unencumbered by other trades. As with other trades, plumbing that appears neat and tidy when installed, is usually the sign of a good tradesman – somebody who has given due care and attention to planning the layout and implemented that plan carefully, without damaging previous trades’ work under the dubious heading of ‘making good.’ Second-fix plumbing is the connection of the appliances, their testing and commissioning. Appliances include bathroom sanitaryware and radiators, as well as boilers and other equipment."

neutral  Nikki Scott-Despaigne: "second-fix hardware" as without "hardware" as "accastillage" does specifically refer to the bits 'n' bobs used to connect. //I read this now as to refer to smaller items, not the bathtubs, wash-basins themselves though. See ref post below.

What does the term « accastillage sanitaire » include ? It appears to be the smaller items in a bathroom, not the fittings as I was mistakenly reading before. I am not sure whether it covers the sanitary equipment (wash-basins, taps etc) itself, but it might be the smaller items : mirrors, handrails etc.
