Look up lendenwervelkolom and you wil get 7500 + hits on NL Google! "lumbaal wervel kolom" only get 29 hits! Is that fairly clear? If you only needed to know what IW stands for, then you should have limited your question to that and given the rest as context.

Asker: My question is not related to LWK which is already translated by me (se entire text of my question above), but to (IW). I need to know what IW stands for. By the way LWK is Lumbaal Wervel Kolom and not Lendenwervelkolom. Thank you anyway.
