French to English translations [PRO]
Sports / Fitness / Recreation / Educational module for athletes
French term or phrase: Présentation de la liste interdite
This is from a newspaper article about anti doping instruction and other refresher courses being provided by the French athletics committee for its athletes. Other modules include:

"droits et devoirs du sportifs, information sur les complements alimentaires, Présentation de la liste interdite ..."

I am not sure whether this is standard expression for an issue I do not know about, or whether it literally means "presentation of the unauthorised list".

This is an official title, hence caps in English, and not only banned drugs; I believe it includes substances that are not generally classified as drugs.

Et le cours présenterait cette liste, donc "Presentation of the list of the banned drugs" ou, étant donné que cette liste ne semble pas avoir un titre officiel, "Presentation of the banned drugs list"?

-> And how do you know that Daryo? You know something we don't? : )

neutral  Nikki Scott-Despaigne: The drugs are described as "banned" but the list as the "Prohibited List" :http://www.olympic.org/Documents/Reports/EN/en_report_818.pd... Cf. Article 4 //Yes, the FR version of the official doc is Liste des interdictions, so article uses non-off term.

-> I think the asker will be able to know after reading the whole document if it's the Prohibited list or another list. I will leave it to her. Thanks for your help, Nikki. : )

neutral  Timothy Barton: Yes, it's more than drugs. Blood transfusions would be on there as well.

agree  Kate Collyer: as Daryo points out, this is the best option as it includes methods (such as blood transfusions) as well as drugs. I personally prefer 'introduction to', fwiw.

agree  Nikki Scott-Despaigne: Artcle 4 of the Code : http://www.olympic.org/Documents/Reports/EN/en_report_818.pd... The substances themselves are described as "banned" but the List is described as you indicate.
