English translation: intermediary validation stage

French to English translations [PRO] Bus/Financial - Photography/Imaging (& Graphic Arts) / packaging design
French term or phrase:A/R
Hi all Does anyone recognise this acronym? I can't work out what it is. It's a design agency describing their project management work process for packaging design development.
Explanation: Validation may be a possible solution to put across this two-way consultation. I feel it puts the emphasis on gaining (and incorporating) feedback, which is the aim of the A/R.
as in Alison's message below, I think feedback - or feedback phase - would be quite a good term here. It's commonly used in marketing/new product development.
"Review" is maybe more the kind of jargon used by boring bureaucrats, but this "cycle of Client Feedback/Design Rework" is exactly that. Laws get "reviewed" in the same "Client Feedback/Design Rework" pattern, only it's called "Public Response/Amendments to the Law"
You still have the question of "1 A/R en interne" ? Any better option than "peer review?". "internal re-evaluation" maybe ? "... aller plus loin et ne pas se contenter des premières impulsions de créatifs" sounds more like "re-examine / reconsider options" than "validate"?
@ Nikki. It is most definitely is aller/retour, I was just trying to think how we would say this in English. An intermediary validation stage would involve presentation of ideas and collection of feedback (both +ve and -ve).
Agree with Colin. Standard shorthand for aller/retour and feedback would probably be a good solution. Feedback automatically includes the "aller" as without the outward journey, there can be no return : referral back and forth = feedback.
one "aller/retour" consisting of the "Présentation de la création au client" and the "Retour et phases de retravail de la création". If this process is then repeated, you have your "2 A/R".
that's the only meaning for this acronym I know! Not sure how it could fit here, though, unless it's some sort of substitute for "feedback" - that would work for the "retour" bit...
Explanation: A number of possibilities exist to render this in English, depending on what the A/R actually involves. I go along with your reading on meaning, a validation process, the tricky bit being to find a term which adeuqately describes what the A/R involves.
"1 A/R en interne" : one internal referral; one referral in-house "2 A/R/" : two referrals to be included ...
