un coin montagne est, dans un hébergement, un espace réduit (souvent un renfoncement, à l'entrée d'un studio par exemple), où des couchages supplémentaires sont installés. Il s'agit en général de lits superposés, mais cela peut être aussi un clic-clac, etc., bref, un lit d'appoint. Quel terme en anglais serait assez général pour définir un "coin montagne" (bunk beds n'incluant pas les coins montagne avec clic-clac).

As far as I know we don't have a nice set expression like this in English. You would have to say something like an alcove with bunk-beds/a sofa-bed unless it's actually a tiny room with a proper door in which case you could say a box room with bunk beds .

This is how I would say it, with "nook" being less formal. There are nooks and alcoves for other purposes as well -- perhaps sewing, for example.
