Por muito estranho que pareça, também encontrei "braço de tratamento", neste documento do "Serviço de Medicina I, Hospital de Egas Moniz, Lisboa, Centro de Estudos de Medicina Baseada na Evidência da Faculdade de Medicina de Lisboa":

"Dito de outro modo, é uma análise de resultados baseada no braço de
tratamento a que os doentes pertencem em consequência da distribuição
aleatória inicial, e não no tratamento que eles realmente receberam (placebo ou activo) (1, 5, 6).
In other words, it is an analysis of results based on the treatment arm to which the patients belong as a result of the initial random distribution, and not on the treatment that they actually received (placebo or active (1, 5, 6)).
