From a guideline about new fare structure for an airline:

Ein Tarifwechsel im weiteren Buchungsverlauf ist nicht möglich. In diesem Fall muss der Kunde zurück auf die Vakanz. Alle bis dahin getätigten Eingaben werden verworfen.

Buchung durch den Endkunden: Neue Darstellung der Vakanz mit den Farben der Tarife; der Buchungsvorgang bleibt aber im Wesentlichen gleich.

Ein Wechsel zwischen Tarifen ist nur auf der Vakanz möglich.

The literal translation "vacancy" feels so wrong in this context.

It seems to be referring to some kind of booking portal, or a screen that shows the available flights/fares??
