English term or phrase: for which one exists
Hi all,

I am translating a legal documentation and have a problem with the term in the following sentence....

"These Terms apply to your access and use of our site located at [web address] and Our mobile application on all platforms for which one exists."

My attempt:
Ces conditions s'appliquent à votre accès et votre utilisation de notre Site à l'adresse [adresse web] et notre application mobile sur toutes les plates-formes pour lesquelles une existe.

My problem is that I do not know what "one" refers to...

Any help welcome

Thanks a bunch

pour lesquelles il en existe une
Explanation:
'applications', of course!

It means you can use it on mobile platforms where there is a suitable application. The EN is awkwardly worded but correct, as it refers to 'our mobile application' whereas in fact of course there will be several: one app for each platform.

'en' is a great little word in FR for this sort of thing, I shall never forget the very first time I puzzled over the SNCF warning « Un train peut en cacher un autre » — I learnt a lot that day!

agree  rokotas: indeed 'en' is the magic word. One could also add at the end 'telle' (pour lesquelles il en existe une telle)

-> Thanks, Rokotas — and for that addition!

agree  Caroline Bajwel: Je pense que cette formule est la plus astucieuse et la plus proche de la source (en revanche, pas d'accord pour "il en existe une telle" qui n'est pas correct en français)

agree  Simon Mac: I remember puzzling over that same "un train peut en cacher un autre". I too learnt a lot, running the word order and the meaning backwards and forwards through my brain until it finally "set".
