This is a text by an art critic on artist Milton Machado and his work ‘History of the Future’. I'm not sure I understand quite what is meant here. Thanks for your help!

Partindo deste princípio, a história torna-se também paródia, paródia de si mesma. Evoluir como destruir. Construtivismo voraz e predatório. A linearidade da história moderna que, repitamos, era por excelência a projeção de uma história do futuro, no trabalho de Milton é provocativamente implicada como um movimento irreverente contra um espírito de auto-indulgência que, de certo modo, contaminara de nascença a história da modernidade.
