English term or phrase: deadness
Wittgensteins’ intuition is relevant to the contrast between accounting for mass violence and aggression by positing a powerful instinctual aggressive or death drive versus viewing mass aggression and violence as an expression of the “banality of evil” (Arendt, &&). According to the former view, war and mass violence reflect an eruption of the aggressive drive with its accompanying intense affect, whereas according to the latter view, war and mass violence have at least as much to do with such ‘tame’ factors as social conformity, bureaucratic efficiency, patriotism, religious beliefs, and *deadness* as with eruptions of instinct and intense affect.

apathy

Explanation:
I understand it to mean the tendency many people have to be apathetic in the face of many of life's challenges and dilemas. Most people "couldn't be bothered" about most things!

yes, Danila, I ´know but bluntedness and/or dullness ARE deadness. If I were you, I´d use Insensitivity, apathy and indifference together or at least a combination of two of these terms to make the deadness more dead.
