I see from your other question that you are interested in the distinction between "acquired/finished alcohol", the alcohol present in the wine after fermentation, and "potential alcohol", the alcohol obtainable by fermenting all the sugars present in the wine.

Also called "actual alcohol content" in the Lexique de la Vigne et du Vin. The adjective is necessary if there is a distinction between "acquired/finished/actual" and "potential" alcohol. This distinction is not usually made on wine labels, for example, but may be necessary in Daniel's context, whatever that is.
