PV

English translation: perikardiální výpotek/pericardial effusion

Czech to English translations [PRO]
Medical - Medical (general) / Cardiology
Czech term or phrase: PV
ECHO vyšetření (PV)
Při dimisi minimální PV dle ECHO.

I thought that maybe the first one would be 'using the paravertebral approach', but this doesn't work for the second phrase.

Thanks for any suggestions!

PV (plasma volume)

Explanation:
Po dosažení úrovně rovnovážného stavu SF plynule stoupá a na konci zátěže může dosáhnout hodnot až
o 20 úderů vyšších. Tento jev někteří autoři nazývají „cardiovascular drift“ a je podmíněn při
zachování konstantního minutového srdečního výdeje postupným snižováním Q[s] a zvyšováním SF.
Pokles systolického objemu způsobuje snižující se návrat krve do srdce, který souvisí s poklesem
plazmatického objemu (PV), s přesunem tělesných tekutin
a termoregulací (Placheta 2001).

♦ Intervention: Fluid status was assessed by tracer dilution techniques: extracellular volume (ECV) with bromide
dilution; total body water (TBW) with deuterium oxide; and
plasma volume (PV) with dextran 70. Echocardiography
was performed to assess left ventricular mass (LVM), left
ventricular end diastolic diameter (LVEDD), and relative
wall thickness as indicators of LVH. Echography of the
common carotid artery was performed to assess arterial
distensibility. Both office and 24-hour ambulatory BP measurements were performed.
