Prudent, peut-être, ou désireux par contraste d’accentuer le trouble, XXXX fait volontiers état des contraintes qu’il s’impose : un ordre rigide introduirait une respectabilité dans un univers qui fuit la rationalité dès que la trame symbolique de l’image paraît s’amincir. Les nombres prétendument régulateurs (nombre d’images, formats identiques, tonalité photographique pour chaque série) seraient-ils investis de quelque sortilège numérologique ? de quelque divisibilité mystérieuse ? Et pourquoi ne RELÈVERAIENT-ils pas comme chez de prestigieux prédécesseurs d’un hasard dadaïste Ô combien jubilatoire ? Après tout, le questionnement ne vaut-il pas mieux qu’une réponse argumentée ? Ne sommes-nous pas constamment environnés de signes interrogateurs qui balisent notre cheminement ? Convenons que par sa geste artistique, XXXX ajoute au grand mystère.
