clumps (of fish/anchovies) Explanation: I must admit I haven't found this use of "puño" defined anywhere, so I am guessing, but I think the context makes it clear that it refers to clumps of anchovy fillets that have stuck together during curing and have to be separated. "Puño" can mean a handful, as a measure, but I don't think that's the sense of it here. I don't think "pieces" works for "piezas". You could say "fish" or "anchovies" or "fillets", but really it could just be omitted; it will be obvious what they are clumps of. |
