"Przejdźmy do meritum"
This is a paragraph heading in a discussion on whether a government is being incompetent. The previous paragraph headings were:
"Czego się dowiedzieliśmy" (what we have learned)
and "Czego jeszcze nie wiemy" (what we don't know yet)
Presumably it means something along the lines of "Let's make a judgement" but I would prefer something better.

To me "let's get to the point" is good, but suggests a finalization of some sort, getting to a conclusion.
"let's get down to business" is (in my opinion) better because it means moving the discussion from meaningless chitchat to the relevant topic, but not necessarily closing the discussion.
