Gostaria de saber a melhor tradução, do português para o inglês, para RESGATES DE RECIBOS POSTERIORES, no seguinte contexto:

A "LOCATÁRIA declara neste ato ter pleno conhecimento de que os RESGATES DE RECIBOS POSTERIORES não significam nem apresentam quitação de outras obrigações estipuladas no presente contrato, deixadas de cobrar nas épocas certas, principalmente os impostos, taxas e demais encargos fixados neste contrato."

Honestamente não entendi o significado exato desta expressão.

I completely agree with Martin Riordan's explanation, but I would translate the phrase slightly differently. I would make the sentence long in this case in order to be very clear about the meaning, although I can see that it is a bit 'clunky'. Well..... just another idea, good luck!

Já vi esta expressão em contratos de arrendamento. Significa que, por exemplo, se o locatário não pagar valores devidos no mês de maio (ex. aluguel, taxas, impostos, etc.), mesmo ele pagando (e o locador aceitando) valores devidos no mês seguinte (junho), este pagamento, e aceitação do pagamento, não significa que todas as dívidas anteriores foram quitados. O locatário continua devendo os valores anteriores vencidos.
