"now that they've realized that there's not enough business, they want to fish in our pond".
il contesto: un agente della ditta XX scrive a un dirigente della ditta XX lamentandosi della gestione dell'attività commerciale in seguito ad un'acquisizione di questa società e del fatto che lui ed altri agenti suoi colleghi non vengono tenuti in considerazione. il business è stato ampliato all'estero, "trascurando" i settori di mercato nei quali operavano questi agenti. il business all'estero è andato male e i nuovi dirigenti dell'azienda sono tornati con la coda tra le gambe da questi agenti.
come rendere l'idea in senso metaforico?
non mi sembra che si usi "pescare nel mio lago" in italiano.
qualche idea?
