'poste' in mining etc can refer to the 'shift' or 'team' - I'd be pretty sure

especially articles 103 and 129. In French, the terms 'poste' and 'personnel' are used to refer to workers in mining. In this UN document we see both terms used, but the articles I refer to show that we are speaking about 'shift', as opposed to 'product' or 'substance'.

site/facility traffic OR movement within the site/facility

Explanation:
Taking into account that it is the "transport des sources dans les puits" that has to comply with the "precautions exigees pour la circulation du poste". These must be safety precautions required for internal site/facility traffic or movement.

I believe that "poste" in this case is the facility as in the following definition:

"Emplacement réservé, logement affecté à tel ou tel usage. Poste d'équipage : partie d'un bâtiment où est logé l'équipage. Le poste des seconds-maîtres, des malades, des midships… Poste de combat, de manœuvre, d'observation (➙ 1. Vigie), d'appareillage…"

neutral  B D Finch: How can that fit with this being about the movement of radioactive sources?// "Un poste" can indeed mean a "shift", but why use that word for "personnel"? It would be very odd to apply rules designed for people to radioactive sources.

  -> Hi - well the security rules here state that transport/movement of sources be subject to the same precautions as those used for movement of personnel...i.e. highest level

agree  Guy Bray: I would say "travel by shift workers".

  -> thanks Guy

disagree  Vitaliy Rysyuk: What relation does it have to precautions in treatment of hazardous/radioactive substances?

  -> Hello, see new note above, and my response to B D Finch regarding 'highest level' precautions
