Swedish term or phrase: civila skyddsobjekt
I know this term refers to vital, non-military installations and facilities (e.g. nuclear power plants, oil terminals etc., but I can't think of the equivalent term in English.

civilian objects

Explanation:
skyddsobject = protected object, object to be protected
But I believe that "skydds" is implied in the English term "civilian object."

From link below on International Humanitarian Law:
Rule 9. Civilian objects are all objects that are not military objectives. [IAC/NIAC]
Rule 10. Civilian objects are protected against attack, unless and for such time as they are military objectives. [IAC/NIAC]

I've seen "protection of civilian objects," but not "protected civilian object," presumably because it is redundant.

disagree  Sven Petersson: The "skydds-" tells the reader that the object may be protected with firearms by staff and/or contractors that are neither police nor soldiers ; the "skydds-" is thus not redundant.
