Reference information: "contrato de meio" is a contract in which one party undertakes to make its best efforts to achieve a stated result but with no guarantee of the outcome. Examples: when a doctor treats a patiente, when a lawyer represents his client in a lawsuit. "contrato de resultado" is one in which one party guarantees the outcome. Ex. to build a house.
