English term or phrase: off a bit one way or another
There should be demand for this type of device. If Intel and hardware vendors can work out their supply chain problems, the iSuppli projection makes sense, even if it turns out 43 percent of total shipments is ***off a bit one way or another***. For one thing, the iSuppli numbers are just shipments to retail. They don't predict that 43 percent of actual notebook sales will be taken up by Ultrabooks, although that could happen as well. Consumers have shown they want super-thin devices, as long as they aren't under-powered, but the hardware vendors that sell Windows machines have failed to deliver up until very recently.

这种类型的设备应该有需求。如果英特尔和硬件厂商们能够搞定供应链问题,iSuppli的预计合情合理,即使结果证明占总出货量43%的预测***多少有点错误***。
注: this type of device指ultrabook(超极本)。
