I think this must be an abbreviation for some sort of school test. The whole sentence reads:
Het voelt hetzelfde als leren voor een proefwerk dat je pas over vier weken hebt, terwijl je voor morgen wel twee S.O.'s hebt staan.

agree  Jack den Haan: Yes, you're right Olly. Hadn't thought about that one. Since 'schoolonderzoek' is actually a final examination, I think this is less likely in the given context however.
