French term or phrase: reviennent sur cette actualité
Person A, Président de FFF et Person B, Président de GGG, reviennent sur cette actualité majeure dans le paysage national et international de l’évaluation des performances environnementales des bâtiments.

This is for a short, promotional article. I have no idea if they have talked about this subject before, but that would be my guess. Could the author say "revenir" if they hadn't talked about it before in some previous publication?

English translation:discuss, review, talk about
Explanation:
This verb is often used as a synonym for one of the above and can by replaced by anything similar. The French, in particular the press, use "revenir sur" referring to a discussion, or indeed in an interview "revenons maintenant sur..." to talk about something which has happened. In fact, in BE this kind of situation is one where we would instinctively set up our sentence with a present perfect construction.

The expression can of course be used to "go back over" look back over" something. Drawing it out in that way would mean really placing the accent ofn the fact that the whole scenario is going to be reviewed. I stress that this can be the meaning, but if that is not suggested from your context, I would avoid it as it woul amount to reading too much into the term in my opinion.
