Hi,
Is an "estintore a neve" a foam extinguisher? I'm just not sure and not coming up with anything on the net.
Context: "Utilizzare solo estintori a polvere, a neve o alogeni, i quali dovranno essere collocati accanto al dispositivo"

La sua capacità di spegnimento è dovuta all'azione di soffocamento dell'ossigeno (O2) presente nell'aria, operata dall'anidride carbonica (CO2).
Gli estintori a CO2 sono costituiti da una bombola, da una valvola di erogazione a volantino o a leva e da una manichetta snodata -rigida o flessibile- alla cui estremità è posto un diffusore in materiale isolante.
Al momento dell'apertura della bombola, grazie alle valvole, il liquido spinto dalla pressione interna sale attraverso un tubo pescante, passa attraverso la manichetta e raggiunge il diffusore, dove, trovandosi all'aperto, istantaneamente ne evapora una parte, provocando un brusco abbassamento di temperatura (-79 °C) tale da solidificare l'altra parte in una massa gelida e leggera detta "neve carbonica" o "ghiaccio secco".

Carbon Dioxide extinguishers are filled with non-flammable carbon dioxide gas under extreme pressure. You can recognize a CO2 extinguisher by its hard horn and lack of pressure gauge. The pressure in the cylinder is so great that when you use one of these extinguishers, bits of dry ice may shoot out the horn.
