disagree  Tracy Miyake: I'm with Amy Duncan. if you look at the link, you see that everything is called "elastics" or "scrunchies", and the one thing called a hair band is a "faixa". For me, a hairband = Alice band, and elastico = hair elastic or ponytail holder..

neutral  Lindsay Spratt: I agree that a scrunchie is a fabric-covered hair tie, but that means it doesn't apply to just the elastic itself. Scrunchies were all the rage when I was a kid!
