Depending on what kind of body hair is being referred to, it could be 'pêlo "saca-rolhas"'. I think that "cabelo" is limited to hair on the head and all other body hair is called "pêlo", or "pelos" in the plural, but I am open to correction on this.

disagree  Gusknust: There's no mention to "cabelo saca-rolhas" in the Medicine literature. Actually there is no medical term for that. Most Medicine books or articles describe the effects of low vitamin C levels as causing hairs to get kinky "o pelo fica crespo".

A vitamina C é muito importante para a formação dos ossos, cartilagens e dentes, pois intervém na produção de colagénio. Por actuar sobre o sistema imunitário, é comummente associada à prevenção de gripes, fraqueza muscular e infecções.
Esta vitamina abunda na fruta e nos legumes frescos, nomeadamente nos citrinos (laranja, limão e outros), na papaia, nos morangos, na batata, na manga, no caju, no pimento, no kiwi, no melão, na acerola e na couve, entre outros.

No passado, a carência desta vitamina teve consequências graves, por provocar o escorbuto (que hoje é praticamente desconhecido). Se houver falta desta vitamina, as feridas demoram a cicatrizar, há hemorragias, os dentes ficam moles, há perda de peso, dores nas articulações e inflamações das gengivas. Um possível sinal de falta de vitamina C é, nos cabelos, os pêlos tornarem-se crespos onde antes eram lisos.
