German term or phrase: Ehrenpreis v Naturalpreis
Good Afternoon,
Can anyone assist with the difference between Ehrenpreis and Naturalpreis and English equivalents. Both terms crop up frequently in a text I have regarding horse riding and various prizes that are given out, such as "Es ist jetzt Sache ...... fiir den
Austausch der Medaillen, Ehrenpreise, Naturalpreise und Plaketten zu sorgen.

There is a previous entry on Proz relating to each, but hasn't assisted me in this specific case. Other research has led me to a variety of combinations including "cash equivalent prizes", "non-cash prizes", "trophies" etc.

The text is from Germany.

Grateful for any assistance.

Steve

English translation:Honorary prizes and non-cash prizes
Explanation:
These are what I believe possibly transmit the sense best and fit best with the "medals" and "badges" also being given out - it gives the sense of a whole range of different prizes of varying prestige to be won?
