English translation:(compensatory) head posture
Explanation:
It seems that the 'zwang' element is not used in English language descriptions:

"Congenital fourth nerve palsy is a condition present at birth characterized by ... Young children adopt a compensatory head position in order to compensate for ..."
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Congenital_fourth_nerve_palsy

"Characteristics of fourth nerve palsy Fourth nerve under action is a common cause of vertical squint and compensatory head posture. It is however less common ..."

head tilt

Explanation:
Literally, a forced head tilt, but then you have "kompensatorisch" before "Kopfzwanghaltung", so you can't call it a 'compensatory forced head tilt'.

Patients with superior oblique muscle palsy often assume a compensatory head tilt to the contralateral side of the affected eye. This tilt serves to decrease the hypertropia and, in theory, might decrease the excyclotropia.

Why is the head tilted with superior oblique palsy?
Head tilt and/or turn is common with superior oblique palsy. The abnormal head position allows better alignment of the eyes , sometimes aiding in relief of diplopia. A child with a head tilt should be evaluated by an ophthalmologist for superior oblique palsy and other possible eye problems.
