Penso che in questo caso la traduzione letterale sia di maggiore effetto. Nel linguaggio psicologico si parla di costruire e di distruggere. Questo è il mio consiglio.

Ti chiedevo che traduzione avessi adottato per "shaped" perché credo sia importante nella resa della triade, che potrebbe (forse) essere:

vite delineate, realizzate o spezzate
vite modellate, organizzate o interrotte

e via abbinando.
