In order to fund completion of contracts, the company collects payments from its customers under the terms of contracts. These payments are recorded in balance sheet liabilities. In order to guarantee that payments will be refunded in the event of the company failing to meet its contractual obligations, the company may put in place a ***deposit refund guarantee*** at the customer’s request.

Rückerstattungsgarantie ist klar. Ich würde aber gerne noch das "deposit" unterbringen und mir fällt nichts ein, was sich dann auch noch brauchbar anhört. Habt Ihr eine Idee?

Vorauszahlung im Sinne einer Vorleistung allerdings nur insoweit, als die Company ihre Gegenleistung noch nicht zu 100 % erbracht hat, also noch ein Erfüllungsanspruch besteht.

Failing to meet its contractual obligations kann aber auch die Schlechterfüllung umfassen; dann dient die Garantie auch der Sicherung von Gewährleistungsansprüchen.

Deshalb den Klammerzusatz besser weglassen (danke, Oliver!)
