This word can be very difficult to translate if you don't have a full grasp of the context.

I am seeing this from the perspective of the interviewer.

logique (here) = the reason/intention/mindset for going into something from the point of the view of the researchers/interviewers, and not the from the point of view of the interviewees, or migrants themselves; in other words, the focus of the interview is not about career development of creating businesses (not why they are conducting this interview)

I am not sure sure of the meaning, but that's how I understand it.

Do they want to limit the age range because the researchers are not interested in approaching this from a career development/business creation point of view? In other words, the greater the age range, the more they can see see how someone's career path developed over time, as well as track a business's development over time. So they believe they should limit the age range because they have no interest in doing this?

I know that "logique" could mean "process", or "step-by-step" plan, but am just not sure in this context.

Thanks for your clarification, I think between your ideas and the input from Timothy and Jocelyne I am getting closer to the idea that it is the reasoning or motivation behind people's career paths which is being ruled out of the study. Thanks.

To answer your question, "logique" here is being used in the sense of "approach"; in other words arriving at solutions in career development is not the main focus of these interrogations, imho.

logique = mindset
