German term or phrase: vital anerge Situation
In a German medical report, patient has sleep problems, in section for "PSG-Diagnostiknacht", polysomnography testing night:

"In Anbetracht der ... unter dem Bild einer vital anergen Situation, müdigkeitsmäßig..."

I find hardly any references using the word "anerge" in German or English. I am inclined to just translate this as "patient lacks (vital) energy, due to fatigue" or something similar but just wanted to see if other translators thought this should be translated in a more technical way.

Thanks,

Stephen

without more context, that's the best I can do at this point :):) Hence, CL 3.

Usually, the word "anergy" is used in immunology, but it can also mean extreme lack of energy leading to passivity.

patient is anergic

Explanation:
A number of medical papers online refer to "anergic patients" so this would perhaps be acceptable... unless you consider it still too germanic
