Portuguese term or phrase: placa vegatada
Hi there, can anyone help me with this term, it's in the description of a park design, which will have an artificially built long stretch of raised, vegetated land. I'm stuck with "vegetated plain" at the moment, but that just doesn't sound like the kind of thing an English-speaking landscape designer would come up with! Plateau also sounds too geological, not architectural. Any ideas? Here's a phrase with the term:

"As duas maiores obras de infraestrutura propostas são a construção da placa vegetada elevada e a criação do canal (...) A placa vegetada tem como primeira função separar os fluxos de pedestres do se veículos e serviços na área do parque."

Thanks.

Hi Mark, the client ended up informing me the correct term in this context: "Vegetated Plinth" - I would never have guessed the use of the word plinth there. Anyway, your suggestion would have worked too, so thanks.

garden bed

Explanation:
You could even say "raised garden bed" since it does say there in your text "placa vegetada elevada".

See:

Also according to your text, this placa vegetada sound like a "canteiro" like you have on major streets, separating the opposite lanes of traffic: "tem como primeira função separar os fluxos de pedestres do se veículos e serviços na área do parque" so this garden bed should fit the bill.
