specialty resource person Explanation: I think the ''métier'' refers to an engineering specialty (see Termium, métier, meaning 4). So there are several resource people, each with his/her own specialty, and they are available across the board to all departments (the ''transverses'' part). |

professional consultant Explanation: The term "métiers" covers the whole gamut of professions. The term "référent" in this context refers to advice being given and analisis being made at an expert level of the various jobs in hand. |

Interdisciplinary Adviser Explanation: Though more usual in academic contexts, I think this could also be used in an industrial one. "This would require interdisciplinary adviser who understand politics but have connections to the scientific world as well, who can translate ..." whtmage.deviantart.com/journal/ -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 44 mins (2011-07-22 17:06:42 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- I have assumed above that "transverses" is part of the role title. |

leader, lead -; task force Explanation: Are these référents individuals or groups? In the nursing fraternity, an infirmier/-ère référent(e) is a - or something like a - lead nurse. But the term can also be used for a group, which can be called a "task force", especially in the context you have, I feel. |
