confluent epithelitis Explanation: This is probably what you are looking for. If you Google, epithelitis (also epitheliitis) and oropharynx you will find plenty of references. Reactions of the laryngeal and neck skin mucosa were studied in 93 laryngeal cancer patients on combined therapy including hyperthermia. Patients in the control groups received no local hyperthermia.
