French term or phrase: La musique à votre image
La musique à votre image
This is the title of an article describing the work of a company that sets out to provide music for films, TV & radio, documentaries, etc., in other words the music to go with the pictures. The best thing I can come up with is 'Music to match'. It has to be something snappy as it is virtually their advertising slogan.

neutral  Tony.J.A.@DT: I don't know is this would be an accurate description of this service which is matching musical tunes (or whatever is it) to an image, and not just selecting a tune for yourself.

-> You may well be right, but please remember this is a title, not a description. In any case, I don't even presume to think that this is the best suggestion, it was only the first one posted:-)

fitting music

Explanation:
Fitting music- fitting with the pictures as well as the customer's image.

Alternatively, "music to suit" or "say it with music" may be appropriate.

in your image.

Explanation:
The meaning of the slogan is double. At first reading, it means: music that is like you, that is a replica of your thoughts, feelings etc. as with "man made in God's image"...And then you have another interpretation, one that makes the preposition "à" mean "for", "for the purpose of" or "destined to" ...Keeping the idiom would preserve, slightly altered, the double meaning...

Just a try...

I suppose that "your" is implied in my translation.

Turn your images into music!/ Music to your eyes!

Explanation:
As it is, as you say, a slogan, I think one could opt for a somewhat freer translation and turn it into an instigation. I think it would sound quite imaginative like this, as it lends itself to associations with sayings like "this is music to my ears". Maybe you could even be so bold to transform this into "Music to your eyes!"

"music to watch films by"

Explanation:
fait allusion à un célèbre thème de Jazz et ferait donc un bon slogan publicitaire par association
