I'm interested to know what others think would be the right word in this case, please.
Would we really say "reality"?

Thanks Simon and everyone else. I realise that Deborah's "reality" has more agrees, but I didn't feel comfortable with it (hence why I posted the question). I think "realidad" is verging on a false friend, in that it is a perfectly good word in English, but most often does not merit a direct translation. I usually say "situation" or "circumstance". and here I used Simon's "context". Thanks all!
