Government / Politics / urban development
Spanish term or phrase: realidad
this is one of "those words"! :-)
I'm interested to know what others think would be the right word in this case, please.
Would we really say "reality"?
Many thanks

This is one of a few different translations she has for "realidad" and, at least for me, it fits rather well.

environment

Explanation:
Just another suggestion: "same functional urban environment"

Example sentence(s):
  • Exploring inequalities in urban areas often involves looking at contrasting areas or zones within the same *urban environment*.
  • Without sufficient food, a sanitary water supply, working infrastructure, safe housing, and countless other baseline requirements for a functional urban environment, public squares and preserved historic buildings become useless, even seem silly
